So fatsam has been given permission to talk to the FA about the England job, what your thoughts on this ?. I personally think it would be a brilliant appointment. The one thing Allardyce has over the last few England managers is man management skills.

When he were at Bolton he invented the culture were staff were brought in to look after the foreign players , i.e. help the finding accommodation, find other people/communities from their countries, food, were and were not to go. Basically making sure the player was happy and needed for nothing especially if it was a big culture shock.

He was also one of the founders of sport science within the game dieticians as well a sports psychologist. But more importantly, he knows how to get the best out of players and how to bring a team together and play for one another no headless chickens trying to be a roy of the rovers. The days of Sam and the long ball to Davies have long gone.

At times it's not the prettiest football to watch but right now England just need to get back to winning in tournaments. Qualifying doesn't seem to hard for England but they are always floundering when they arrive at any tournament the fold like card tower.

For me, England players get all the coaching at their respective clubs so coaching them individually is not job of an England manager, working together and having a plan A-B-and a C and learn how to work hard on and off the ball.

I would be happy if he took the job or Bruce as I don't feel we need to go abroad again. We have tried that and it doesn't work. If we can't get a manager that's English there's something wrong.

If you don't follow my thoughts who would you choose ? and please not Eddie Howe ffs

He will be a great appointment for england, a manager who will build a team rather than just picking from the best clubs and trying to fit them in, he will add steel and get them playing to there advantage, me personally I think he's a very under rated manager

I like him in "The Chase" he far better in that :)

Big Sam is ok but might just be to straight talking for the FA

seriously. is that the best the national team can do.............

We'll be playing like Brazil. Alan Brazil. Circa 2016.

Career win ratio of 33%. What could go wrong?

lol.next you'll be telling me that Boris will be appointed Foreign Secretary.........................

When you look at the Premier League, there aren't many English managers and all have generally been in charge of clubs in the bottom half of the table, so the FA won't find anyone with a record of winning trophies. At least that kind of manager may be able to instill some of the passion and fight which was so obviously lacking in Euro 2016.

On a purely personal note, I would not want Sam Allardyce to get the job as then my team, Sunderland, would have to find a new manager.

Sunderland are considering appointing former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes if Sam Allardyce takes the England job

Moyes to Sunderland, Allardyce to England - both seem to have less suitable managers than before.

Which is the one? You think Allardyce is better than Hodgson? I think he's the new Graham Taylor, myself...
