Neil Warnock is ready to return to management with Leeds United after being interviewed by the club. NOW CONFIRMED AS NEW LEEDS MANAGER

Dont have a guest now for Goals on Sunday Neil Warnock just pulled out he has got the Leeds United job, should be "fun" him & Ken Bates

The 63-year-old lost his job at QPR last month, and has been linked with the vacancies at Wolves and former club Huddersfield, both of whom parted company with their managers this week.

But Elland Road seems to be Warnock's next home, with United owner Ken Bates looking to fill the gap created by Simon Grayson's departure on February 1.

Warnock was photographed meeting Bates and Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey in Monaco and it is understood he has been interviewed for the post.

Sky Bet slashed the odds on the former QPR boss taking over at Elland Road to 1/8 and have since stopped taking bets on Warnock joining Leeds.

"There are possibilities cropping up that may offer the chance to get back into the game and I have to admit they whet my appetite."

Quotes of the week
Writing in his column in the Independent, Warnock admitted he is ready to return to the dugout.

"It's been an interesting week," he said. "There are possibilities cropping up that may offer the chance to get back into the game and I have to admit they whet my appetite.

"There are good clubs looking for a manager - my old club Huddersfield, one of the top six clubs in England in Leeds, as well as Premier League Wolves.

"All top clubs and each offers a different opportunity for the right person. I'm not writing anything off regarding taking a job on until the end of the season."

Leeds face Doncaster on Saturday, with temporary manager Neil Redfearn preparing for the fourth of his scheduled games in charge.

He has so far won one and lost two, with Leeds slipping down to 11th in the table as a consequence.

This is a good choice, as a leeds fan and a season ticket holder for my sins, I have seen first hand the rubbish that we have played. We have some fine players but have been lacking the management experience to get those players to play to there best. Hopefully warnock will bang a few heads together and get the best out of them.

Leeds fan for over 40 years and I must admit I had just about given up on them but this an excellent appointment. Mind, if he isn't allowed to sign any players, I wish him the best of luck sorting out our defense! Happy to write this season off and start afresh next year!
