Tbh I thought it smacked of desperation, especially when even the other players didn't know till the dressing room,

He needs to buy and is trying to cover it up by bringing back Scholes imho

[h=6]Paul Scholes is back with a blinding performance to almost put Man City through in the F.A. cup[/h]

may be a case of fergie covering up the fact that the glazers are tight coonts ?

we can only assume

Yep id say were skint Fergie would say no value in the market

can't be that skint, must have cost them a right few quid to bung the ref to send a city player off.

I think it's certainly a desperate act by the manager but what is there to lose by having him in there. I know he played a part in the City goal today but this guy has not trained and yet comes on and plays 30 mins in a huge derby cup tie. 30 minutes in which he came out statistically as the best passer on the pitch and offered something the midfield has rarely had this season and that being a constant option to pass to. His presence offered us a measure of calm when we looked in serious danger of imploding and as he gains some fitness should be able to minimize those mistakes.
I am very one eyed in view of Scholsey as i just see a genius and think he can offer something over the remaining part of the season.
From the City game lots of short passing but controls the game effortlessly

Can't understand why anyone defends a two footed lunge these days. Straight red any day of the week and for any player/team. The fact that Nani didn't have his foot planted on the ground saved at least one of his legs and Kompany a public hanging - it was totally reckless and the ref got it cock on.I'm a United fella. Kompany is one of my fave players and Nani is not, but he got it so wrong it had to be punished accordingly. As for Scholes, I thought when he came on he would end up getting sent off cos of the intensity of the game. Yes he did cost us a goal but I agree, his passing on the whole was second to none and simmered City down. Seems like an admission of a lack of trust in other players tho and that someone has run out of ideas.......or money!!!

It's a shame really, Paul Scholes was a great player in he's prime, now he will just make a cnut of himself and Fergie imho, he should just go fully into coaching or something on those lines, plenty he could offer United in that roll surely ?

Totally agree m8.He is/was one of a kind and a legend at the club so should be channelling all he has towards developing the youngsters. Even outside of United, who would not want their young uns to learn from the man.......tackling aside!!!

The Football Association has dismissed Manchester City's appeal against Vincent Kompany's red card he picked up against Manchester United.

i think it was rite to send Vincent Kompany off it was only Nani jumping up out the way that saved his season
