Kenny signs three-year deal

Anfield legend Dalglish confirmed as Liverpool manager


The Anfield legend has been rewarded for his efforts after stepping into the breach on a temporary basis following the departure of Roy Hodgson in January.

Dalglish and assistant manager Steve Clarke, who has also been handed a three-year deal, have lifted the club from the lower reaches of the table to their current position in fifth.

The Scot has long been tipped to take the role on a permanent basis with the revival under his stewardship clearly impressing club owner John W Henry and chairman Tom Werner.

Negotiations have been ongoing for a number of weeks and the news which is sure to delight Reds fans around the globe was confirmed on Thursday afternoon.

Dalglish told the club's official website: "I said when I took the job on in January that I was just happy to help the club out for the remainder of the season.

took them long enough. As much as i dont like to admit it, he is a good manager, and I like that he's giving the younger english players like shelvey, spearing, and kelly chances in the first team squad

As much as i like "King Kenny" i dont think he is going to be answer to Liverpools problems,they just aint spending enough to keep up with the Manu's and Chelsea's of this world. In my opinion only a huge kitty is gonna bring back the glory days,even that depends on desent players being available and not wanted by the teams with the money !!

ask chelsea>>> torres??? manure have not spent a great deal really.. ok 28 mill for buggerov... massive success... not.. scholes, giggs, beckham, etc... cost millions? no way.. and thats from a red scouse.. its down to heart and commitment, and thats what kenny will bring back to us...

i agree with you there boomer....

as i said already there will be money to spend this summer but it will have to be spent wisely like the signing of suarez,

just need a defense now, thats the weakest part of the team.

You cant buy success overnight is absolutely nailed on fact ! <- but a few signings in the summer and all of a sudden a now mediocre Liverpool will in your eye's be ready for a title push lmao.

Kenny's done wonders at Liverpool so far but he will run out of turd polish soon.
Any side can win without pressure but next season the "king" will be feeling the heat under his collar for results given the rising expectancy the red shite is feeling.
