Artur Boruc drops Celtic exit hint
Mar 26 2008

ARTUR BORUC fancies a move away from Celtic this summer.

The keeper made the shock announcement in Poland last night where he is preparing for a friendly against the USA.

Boruc, contracted at Parkhead until 2011, said: "I would like to try something new. I don't want to move desperately but if a good club comes in, why not?"

Bayern don’t want Boruc

BAYERN MUNICH have denied they are interested in signing Celtic keeper Artur Boruc this summer.

General Manager Uli Hoeness has scorned reports claiming the Pole is heading for the Bundesliga as Oliver Kahn's replacement.

It had been reported goalkeeping coach Sepp Maier had watched Boruc, but Bayern have denied it.

"There is absolutely nothing in the story." Hoeness stressed. "It's a strange story. Sepp Maier wasn't there (in Scotland). From beginning to end, there is no truth in it."

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge described the story as "complete nonsense", and said: "It's grotesque to think Sepp Maier is looking for a goalkeeper for Jurgen Klinsmann (who becomes Bayern boss next season). We certainly won't be spending £13m on another keeper."

Boruc, who is in Poland, said today he could be tempted to leave Celtic for such a high-profile move.

"I feel very good in Glasgow, but I would like to try something new. I don't want to leave desperately, but if a good club comes in, why not?

"There is no offer from Bayern. They are a big club I'd consider if they said they wanted me."

He said this over a year ago, just the papers trying to make a story

Pretty much the same answer he and every other player gives when the question is asked.
