Could have done without a trip to Russia but that's 3 winnable but also very tough ties and Van Gaal will know a couple of those opponents well.
City's group is a bit of a stinker really.....but... f**k um lol.
It is good to be back :)

Evans has gone to West Brom, been a great servant but think he's found his level.
Never progressed his early promise, wish him luck.

He will be fine at a lower level, quite surprised Chelsea didn't come in for him tbh.
Ha.

And that's why you wait till all the games are played before having a pop at the opposition fans :(

Better team won

Glad I've not spent the last 24 hours taking the piss out of Chelsea fans then lol.

Play it safe eh @wiz569 sounds exactly like our game plan.

better team won today not a surprise result to be honest

Obviously, the MCFC fans are going to be hugely biased, but as a (relative) neutral, Swansea deserved the win.

What I don't understand is LVG's tactics, are MUFC really just a long-ball team now, hoofing the ball up-field to a hapless Fellaini?

Rooney is a shadow of his former self, the defence is in disarray, sort out the 'keeper issues and a decent centre-forward and maybe, just maybe, you will qualify for the CL next year.

As it stands, MUFC fans must be really worried with their performances thus far and the direction of their manager.

Hate to say it but MCFC are going to take a lot of stopping at the moment.

Looks like your fans aren't happy with your captain rughead...Is Wayne Rooney unsubable or what? | RedCafe.net

You're rumored to be in for Charlie Austin.
PLEASE let this happen.....

They're being really unfair.
How can they say such awful things about wazza?

According to FIFA, he's one of the best strikers in the world.
If you press triangle, circle and shoot on the controller, he shins overhead kicks.
Name me another player that can do that!!!

Hilarious to think he still has almost four years to run on a £300,000 a week contract. That's over £60m in wages for a rapidly declining player. A catastrophic error of judgement.

I doubt there are many managers throughout the world who wouldn't have Rooney on their team sheet.
sometimes it slips but it is always there and will come back.
Are we talking about Rooney's hairpiece? or as a football player in general m8. ;)

Manchester United are set to sign Monaco forward Anthony Martial after he was released from the France squad on Monday to travel to England, the French Football Federation has confirmed.
Louis van Gaal's side are reported to have made a £36.6m bid for the 19-year-old, who was also linked with Arsenal

Martial scored eight goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
The France under-21 international was called up to the international squad for the first time on 28 August.
"Anthony Martial asked France coach Didier Deschamps for permission to travel to England to sign a contract with Manchester United,"an FFF Statement read

"Taking into account the exceptional circumstances, the manager allowed the player this request.
"Anthony left Clairefontaine on Monday at 12:00 local time. He'll return (on) Tuesday morning."
Martial started his career at Lyon, making his professional debut in December 2012, before joining Monaco in June 2013.
This summer he agreed a one-year extension to his previous deal at Monaco, extending his contract until 2019.

Borussia Dortmund are in advanced talks to sign Adnan Januzaj on loan from Manchester United, according to Sky sources.

It is understood there has also been interest in the winger from Everton and Tottenham, Marseille and Valencia.
Januzaj has played for United this season, but boss Louis van Gaal appears happy for him to move to Germany.

Javier Hernandez is understood to be in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen about a move to Germany from Manchester United.

Sky sources understand a deal is close to being struck for a fee of around £9m, but no agreement has been reached as of yet.
Hernandez spent last season on loan to Real Madrid and scored nine goals in 33 appearances, albeit with just 12 of them coming as a starter.
