i have got a starview hd combo. i have changed the software to the spider hd9000.
iv done everything else, scanned channels, thats ok, dones the patch1 and patch2, usind s/w + all data, but can seams to get my Cline to copy across to the client setup. i changed my cline name from Config.cfg to server.cfg but still cont copy it to cccam page.i go to menu, accessory, usb, i pick the cfg file, press the red button on remote, auto detect and it says copying file, then saving, but when i got to network, client setup there is nothing on any of the lines. even thu if i change 1 of the off lines to cccam..
will i have to input the cline manualy..
i have tryed putting it in manualy but line says disconnected.

am i missing any other firmware.

iv used spider firmware " i was bored one day". converted my Starview hd combo lan to Spider firmware.
the done a reset, the installed the spider patch1 and spider patch2. the done a scan, all channels coming up, but just cant get my Cccam cfg line to connect to get the scrambled channels..

help..

well fair play to you for having a tinker with diff firmware
i owned a spider and always put the lines in with the remote remember it is case sensitive and you do not use the c or n
have you checked to see if the box is talking to your network or you have an ip confliction
worth rebooting box and router turn off at mains leave for a couple of mins then turn back on
it could also be that your line is off and double check all the info when typing in with remote
from memory you just type your info in select either newcamnd or cccam and press enter exit and as long as network is conected and line working thats it
check network settings in spider menu check and uncheck dhcp to see if box has ip address

Is your config file a proper note pad converted file, ordinary notepad files do not work

its converted from notpad...

if i put the line in manualy will i have to put the "C:" aswell

example
C: jabbar.dyndoos.biz 14000 jonny hero no

or

jabbar.dyndoos.biz 14000 jonny hero no

plus theres a "no" at the end, do i put that in some wer.

server..... jabbar.dyndoos.biz
poer.. 14000
ID...... jonny
paswword... hero

is that correct

do i have to use a cccam software like 2.1.4 or 2.2.0

enter the line manually using the remote....

not sure on your firmware but on spiderbox you can go into client setup to the enter the cline...

e.g. C: jabbar.dyndoos.biz 14000 jonny hero no
will go in as (note case sensative)....

type: cccam
name/ip address: jabbar.dyndoos.biz
port: 14000
id: jonny
password: hero

ignore ...no... this means you can't share the line

as ish-e says drop the c for cline and if n line drop n and select newcamnd deskey is auto selected
you do not have to install cccam 214 or any as you do on a linux box like dreambox
as the spiderbox has cccam built into the patch

This may be of some use - when I replaced my DM500s to a Spiderbox 9000HD my c line also had to be moved to another server which was dedicated for spidey's as they seem to have probs with newer cccam versions.
