Have just bought one of the above devices.

I'm aware that this receiver plays .mkv files, but was wondering can the usb be formatted in NTFS or does it have to be FAT32. Most MKV files I have are close to 10GB and I imagine there will be a problem trying to get these on the hard drive if it has to be FAT32?

Any help/guidance appreciated

Thanks

Formatted to Fat32

Every file I try to play any file it fails? .mkvs play but stop after a few seconds and the .avi's I have tried don't play at all.

Never had an issue with .avi files on my 9000HD in the past.

Any ideas?

Hi have you tried to search for software to see if there is a converter prog software to change the files

Hi you will need a file splitter program that will split the the files from 10gig down to under 4gig as fat 32 cannot open files over 4gig
