Spiderbox EPG files for USB load

Looking at the address in the download it is shown as Channel data URL : http://www.tm800hd.co.uk/rytec.channels.xml.gz
If this is changes to the correct address http://www.tm800hd.co.uk/rytec/rytecxmltvuk.gz then I am able to download the epg
the spiderbox is trying to download the channel data then, and NOT the epg data. there must be a coding error in the firmware somewhere, as the line i posted above was extracted from the spiderbox .con file
that server address is in ALL of the rytec epg files m8
thats theprolem i got aswell. saw ur post and changed it its ok now. abit slow but thats not a problem.

i can see why this error is happening from your post m8
, it is 101% a coding error in the con file if you have copied it and pasted directly, a simple fix will sort it all out EDIT:
just looked at the con file, and yes, its a simple coding error
Erm I do not have an energy saving option on my Spiderbox 9000HD have I missed an update somewhere???

Did the whole factory reset thing twice and followed norm instructions
REBOOTED
Selected the UK .con file and chose world of satelites link (Others all failed)
It downloaded no problem but still only getting now and next in EPG, pretty colours now though.
any ideas

FTA channels on 28.2 will show full EPG encrypted channels on 28.2 only show now and next. As I said consider this a "work in progress" for now.

Hi guys, just want to say thanks for the guide - Worked a peach, even for a noobie like me. I would just like to add this though, the EPG download is very slow but well worth the wait. Just a quick question, will i have to download this EPG every day? or weekly? Thanx again

All I am getting is now and next on FTA :grayno:
I have also noticed that the download from World of Satelites is pretty fast then extremely fast at the end just before it finishes without error.
Is there anything else I am supposed to do after the download or should the EPG work right away? Alsoo does it matter what channel list you have as some of the FTA's dont have any info?
Other than World Of Sats has anyone else managed to get any other epg's to Download yet?
On another forum it is advised to wait for up to 5 minutes but on my 9000 combo the EPG is available immediately.

Yeah, my EPG was also available instantly, but as stated - Not all encrypted sly channels program guide was available ( about 60% was ), but free to air was 100% full
This is exactly the same position I am in. Fast download from WOS , but no change to the EPG.
I have a 9000 combo (the 9000 uses the same patch so will operate the same) these receivers DO have the power save option, I cant speak for the 7000 as at this time I dont have one to test.
Depending on which patch you have installed press menu, locate OSD setup and the power save is listed as "Energy saving". Select this and OK, you should now see two options "Power Saving Mode" and "Auto Power Saving" try setting both to OFF.
I do not have that option in OSD setup and I thought i'd installed every patch since day 1 (obviously not)

Other than World Of Satelites can anyone get any of the other download sites to work. I tried editing the TM800 site but no joy?
