Yes I have used my 9000 combo with a 3net dongle in a 3G router, I have used Edimax and Netgear 624 routers with equal success.
You can use a cam or card but a cam will gain you very little, as for the card the choice is for you to make.
You should select a card to suit your viewing preferences.

Many thanks for your reply jimihendix

I have a 3G dongle which I am using with a Zoom 3G Wireless-N Travel Router with my laptop

As for a card I know nothing about how to set them up

I miss my footy when I am in my caravan

What channels can you get with the spiderbox at the moment

I know that the service + is down at the moment and it is bening worked on

No it's not all down as we have channels on 16e and 1w, check out Supersports on 16e and I believe today JSC Sports is back but do check as they are coming and going sometimes.
As for football cards I'm not the one to ask as I know absolutely nothing about football, but those cards normally cost the Earth better in my opinion to seek "other methods" (see the stickies section).

Thank you jimihendix for all your help

I am getting some channels any news on Nova sport

As for a footy card no thanks they say why pay to view when you can free well you know the rest

I am just looking for a sb or a similer receiver that I can program to get film and footy in my caravan

You have been a very big help in saying that the SB will work with 3G dongle and a 3G router

Yes I did run some tests to establish the Spiderbox internet usage using the Edimax (6220 I think, but the Netgear 624 works just the same).
I ran the Spiderbox for 14 hours a day using a 3 net dongle and checked the usage daily it works out at around 1.5GB a YEAR!!
Not a lot of internet usage, put another way 1/8GB a month. I even used a 3net mobile phone sim in the dongle (0.5GB a month allowance) and this worked well so in honesty if you have a mobile with an internet allowance you can use the sim card in your dongle.

You are a star

Once again I thank you for all your help

I am using the Vodaf*** Pay as you go dongle with the Zoom Router

Well with all the kind info that you have given me I have decided to get my self another Spiderbox for my Van

Hi Jimi

I have had a change of heart

Gone of the Spiderbox for my caravan

I have a Ross Freesat box

I have returned it to receive Hotbird and Astra 2 with 2 LNB's

If its an FTA receiver I would not have thought there was a lot on those satellites unless you speak French or German. If you speak or understand either of those languages then you will be well pleased.

you are not going to get any extra goodies with that box if you wanted to get some goodies from 13e and 19e a protek 9600 or maxx 1000 would have done well and opened up a good selection for you

Jimi

It is a Ross Digital Satellite Receiver DVB-S 4100

I got it from that well known DIY Store

I am having a bit of fun at the moment its channel limit is 1000

423 channels for freesat the rest for hotbird

So now I am trying to sort what I need from hotbird

As its an FTA receiver it wont open any encrypted channels so if English is your language then just go through the channels and store any you like.
