Hi guys,

where can i find a list of the channels that are available with the spiderbox gift?
does it have premium content?
what country are they from?
are any of the channels in english?
which satellites will i need to point to?

this is not the complete official list but will give you a idea of whats available with a normal dish and 5000sd. regards mdt

Some great stuff there, but you'll notice that none of the biggies are present, and you'll find an awful lot of non-english channels amongst those.
 
i'm surprised they are able to openly sell this as a gift, seems to me like.. sure its legal we don't have a license to sell alcohol but you buy the cup and you get a gift of it being full with alcohol...

surely they don't buy a subscription to every provider for every box...

pay servers aren't allowed to be discussed on most forums but these "gifts" are ?
 
It's a blantant disregard for the law mate.

Since they are so careless, it leaves me wondering why they don't have some decent providers on their 'gift', where the hell is Premiere, Sky UK and Sky Italia?

What worries me is the rumours that Technomate are considering flogging the TM8000 with a 'gift'.

Suicide if they do, unless they know something I don't.

are all premiership games shown and are they in english?

most english games on nova and jsc are in english audio as the main audio and having had my box for a while they work very well
 
If I find a game with foreign language only commentary, I just tune into a local radio station and get it from there. :)

this list is from the sb forum but was made before c+@1west was added and there is also [email protected] to be added anytime now, regards mdt
 
Have to say very good "gift" and appears to be increasing all the time. Think it could be a new purchase for next football season if I cant get a good cline.
 
You cannot miss a game on this Box (English that is) The gift and softcams make it perfect for all us footie Fans, wait for the world cup with all the bigboys showing it in Hd out off this world bring it on. And all for less than 200 quid bargin.

i am intersested in getting the 9000hd spiderbox as the gift looks very appealing to us newbies looking for more channels without the grief of expensive cards and cams etc
i know it has the potential for c/s with the probability of it being a server also in the future
i think this part is a bit daugnting for newbies so my question is why is the gift only for 12 months,i read the al**t forums every day and they won't commit to anything after 12 months which i think is putting many people off from buying this box especially me as it it appears to be working well with more channels going on
as i know 'bobi' reads and posts on here, could we get some clarification on this,
one guy over there even said he would buy another spider after 12 months so he could get another 12 months which is rediculous in my opinion
if bobi said we could purchase another gift or pay a small monthly payment for it i think that sales would go through the roof
what do you think guys as this is the one thing putting me off buying the well reviewed box

From what I gather, the 'Gift' is a 12 month intro to the cs side of things etc.
As Al sat are UK based they will not sell access to a server.
The 'Gift' is only accessible via a patch/SW.
If they charged outright for cs they would be in big trouble.
I will let Bobi answer the rest as thats as much as I can suffice.
 
they should have an option where after 12 months they 'service' your box and you get a free gift with it

perhaps they will think of another way round it in the future as i think there will be quite a few people in 12 months scratching thier heads as what they do next
i know a lot of people say c/s is easy but i've been reading a lot over the last month and it looks complicated to a lot of people, and the gift was the ideal solution
do you think ***** have a plan for the future with all these spiders working together,just me being a bit cynical as to why they are selling the box so cheap with the gift to entice people
it would be nice if bobi could help us on this,but if you think about it £189 is still good value for a years viewing especially with the EPL on 1W,19e & 16e
perhaps bobi could sell a usb stick in the future with a new gift patch to over come the problem of paying for it,only a suggestion or am i a bit thick on this, LOL
hope we can have a debate on this as i get the feeling a lot of people are waiting on this before they jump

with the forthcoming patch to enable the spiderbox to become a server it will be no different after the gift period has ended than using a linux box
you either learn c/s or watch fta
 
The gift channels are great but what ive learned is its just a stepping stone to card share. And belive me you wont just want what the Gift A+ offers, you will want english speaking channels ie UK ones.

And card share is not difficult, you just enter server details on the box and hit save and within a 30 seconds you know if its working or not.

What ive learned is your better off finding a box thats good for card sharing, client or server or both and spiderbox so far for me has failed in many ways, hopefully its patched and fixed with better cccam support soon.

So please dont let a Gift A+ sway you.... your still gonna need to go cs either way and spend £10-30 on a decent server too get the real goodies !

hi mate there's more to c/s then just payservers google a little bit more

what has to be considered is the cost of the spiderbox either the 9000 or 7000
what else is available at the price for a HD box with pvr facility
i guess a CLONE dreambox

if bobi comes up with all promised patches ie cccam surport to ver 2.1.4 and also enable's a server function and there is no reason why not, the chipset is STi7101 which is linux compatable the ip box and qbox hd use it the latter with enigma 2.

then i think you will be in possesion of a very desirable low cost quality HD stb.

I will be honest with you if you read my signature you will see i use an eagle linux box ( server ) spiderbox & tm500's client. I really do not have time for the gift channels most are already available to me.
As soon as the server patch comes out the eagle will go into retirement and the spiderbox will become the main box

so do not threat about when the gift expires do your research a bit more
 
for thoes all swayed on the spiderbox, heres somtthing i do and not gain from

my old dm500C (yep thats cable) has my sky uk card in it most of the time.. except in the evening when i use it in the bedroom (multiroom box)

for me doing this.. i have clients who share with me and give 1 reshare of almost every pacakage available...

now i only shred my card as a favour for a frind on here whos just got into chs... but with this he again ahs everything i now have, plus what ever using me as a resare what ever he can get.. and visa versa

now i dont have a motorised setup yet, but even with out my card in the box, i practally have every channel from 45e to 75 w ready to view..

all because i shared my card..

now if i didnt have a card and someone i found was nice enough to give me a share with a reshare.. i could in turn get exactly the same and return the favour back from the shares i recive..

its all a game of give and take..

dont forget even FTA/ minimum sky uk subs are sought after as the uk FTV channels are still wanted
 
agreed.
its sometimes easy to forget what cardsharing is all about with mass talks of payservers and gifts.
