Does anyone have a Ring doorbell? Iv a had my original version since Nov 2015 and its great.

There's a new 1080p version called the pro but haven't decided if it's worth upgrading as it's just a doorbell at the end of the.

I would love to have a display for it in the hallway but so far the best solution seems to be a windows tablet with the ring.com app running which isn't ideal.

First would need to find a 7" tab to use for a single app. Wall mount then figure out how to add constant power.

Got a link or some more info Pal?

I would suggest to wall dock it mate (if possible), and just recharge, the problem with the tablet will be that it will need to turn on the display when the bell is pressed... like a wake from sleep.

Difference with the Pro is it is hard wired to your existing bell box and needs a transformer

On the plus side you don't have to charge it every few months

@Mick Ring Video Doorbell Pro Kit with Chime & Transformer: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

I had one of these at my last house > 1byone 7-Inch Colored LCD Touch Screen Video Doorbell_Video Door Phone_Home Security_1BYONE

Best option if you want a large screen indoors

Down side it does not work over a network

Luckily my original one is connected to a transformer and mechanical chime but I want the manufacturers to make a wireless display.
