Looking to change my combi boiler controller and wanted to access it through the internet on my Windows Mobile Phone any ideas on which one to buy ... Don't want a subscription I would like to buy it outright.

Thanks

Lots choose from
I use Honeywell evohome.
Tado and hive should also work subscription free

Thanks for the Reply evo home and hive do not seem to have a app for Microsoft Phones and Tado is subscription so I may have to change my phone ...

I use Worcester Wave, but you'd need to check for Windows version of the app.....

On Windows Phone look in App Social, the App you want is "Evohome Remote"

Sorry to hijack thread but what is the Worcester Wave like? I wanted to get one but had to change some valves or something as I have sealed system.

I find it great TBH. It does NOT control individual radiators, just the overall heating, and/or got water system..... search YouTube for Worcester Wave and there's some decent vids on it.

You can use home presence detection where the controller detects your phone (with the Wave app on it) and you preselect the temp for when you're at home. You set night temp, away from home temp, weather compensation etc to suit.

I just set the radiator TRVs to suit each room. Pretty much set and forget.

Can do screenshots of the app and a link to decent setup articles on it later if the YouTube stuff isn't enough.....

I think I read something about Windows phones no longer being developed..... not likely to be any apps coming along for that platform if that's the case....

Thanks il have a look iv got a cheapo salus rf one at moment with 2 timers only. Only problem I have is my boiler is now in loft and programmer is under the stairs but the additional cables needed are no there and for hot water control the boiler would need a change in some valves.

Pretty inefficient as timer comes on day and night even when away for weekend.

There's loads of smarts thermostats now worst comes to worst you could upgrade phone?

Im liking the look of the eccobee3 but not available here. I can't believe British Gas want to charge £9 per month for there version. It's OK if they upgrade it when a newer version comes out I guess but I rather just pay a one off fee.

I have the new Salus it500 & it works a treat. It has 3 time setting for each day & can be programmed daily, 5&2 or 7. Also free app for android or apple & web browser. There on sale on Amazon too

Is the salus just heating control?

Ours is a combi boiler but i got this off there site if it helps
[h=2]Internet Thermostat[/h]Choose from single zone heating, single zone plus hot water or 2 heating zones (with addition of the iT300 Sensor).

Features
• Internet control via PC or Smartphone
• Local control
• Wall or surface mount thermostat
• Touch controls on thermostat
• Frequency 868 MHz
• Heat/Cool
• 2 x Volt Free Outputs
• Optional hot water control

When I last looked they all didn't seem very stable or you had to by many boxes including a touch screen panel (some even needed a new boiler) so you could use a phone app.

I always preferred Heatmiser for all heating integration.

Do they have boilers that can be used with an app (I mean just boiler control like checking its health etc).

Wont be long lol.
