Alexa - unique prefix?

Has anyone noticed how the Echo is sort of limited to just the prefix of what you say, for example, if you have a 2 sets of lights in your living room, and you call them living room up and living room down, it can't distinguish between the two?

Does anyone have a solution for this?

I'm wondering if Google home would be better..

Yes i've noticed this too. Hoping it will be fixed in a future software update. I've heard google home is good, but cannot vouch for that myself as i've not used it yet.
