Hive bulb`s

Just got the Hive kit from BG and I need another bayonet bulb
what i`m asking is will other/cheaper none BG bayonet bulb`s work with this?

It doesn't look like there are any compatible alternatives at the moment.

Non-Hive smart bulbs, such as Phillips' Hue, will need the relevant additional hub (and app) to control them.

However, if you've got one of the bulbs is fitted to a lamp; you could get the active plug instead. Although it's £39 RRP, it's more adaptable. In so much that you could use it to control a 13A ganged unit switching multiple devices at once.
