Skybox F5 Skybox F5 Freezing

Hi Mates

My Skybox is freezing and the screen just shows horrible green pixalations, I think I need to upgrade firmware and channel list can anyone help me find the latest firmware and channel list to see if this will correct the error unless someone can guide me otherwise.

Any help greatly appreciated I have tomorrow to fix this damned thing before Sunday 1.30 pm

Hi Bobby123

The signal is OK when working it is when I switch across to the skybox following bootup it runs for a few seconds and then freezes and I get this green screen. The box will not respond to the remote I need to unplug power supply but on reboot it is the same. Sometimes it is no problem great picture quality so problem is spasmodic.

There is a rather important football match on Sunday which I do not want to miss hence the panic.

Chaps I've stuck a new image on this box via null modem lead but it halts rebooting at 97 ?? ideas please ?

Sorted that just put older firmware on

Unfortunately not working this morning back to old tricks boots up and crashes immediately freezing picture etc.

Can anyone help please it getting very close to 1:30 and there is a football match I need to watch being old and infirm I am not there personally.

Update on above have got it down to a one fault. It is when the aerial is connected that the box cuts out and freezes. Without the aerial connected the box boots up and the channels change on the screen with no cut out as soon as the aerial is connected it cuts out and freezes.

I tried connecting the aerial from the sky box with the same results.

Would certainly welcome any help to try to solve this before kick off at 1:30

Sounds like an earthing issue.

thanks manic1 how would you cure that please must say I am a fairly down to earth sort of chap!! lol
