Skybox F5 Skybox F5 V Channels - lost of signal

im having trouble upgrading the october 2012 fireware version on skybox f5 to a more newer and stable one as all the HD channels dont clear on present image.

when i try to upgrade it through USB it says the file is a mismatch (.abs format)
i've tried different combernation like keeps dbs settings, different images from october 2012 onwards but the box wont have any of them.

The reason im trying to update is cos i lost signal on v channels (all of them except BBC)
The transponder is set to 9750-10600
no diseq
LNB power is on

any ideas?

Normally if you lose horizontal or vertical it's faulty lnb.

Is the box on a loop with another original sky box by any chance? I had a similar problem before and it was being caused by the different frequency being looped from the original box

no loop, just standard old sly dish straight into the box

I've just installed a brand new octo lnb and all my boxes are working fine now, no loss of signal on any channels, i did notice however, when a sky box is connected to the loop there can be a no signal issue on the f5s but by turning the skybox into standby it solved the issue, if the sky box is recording from 2 channels and using the loop from the f5s then i can see an issue with certain channels losing signal
