There may be dozens and dozens of sky channels, but why do you have to pay for those you dont want?
For instance, I hear all the time customers just wanting a 'sports only package' and i guess i would also be interested in that only. I personally have no interest in the mainstream sky channels that just have repeat after repeat of american plop and constant adverts, so have no intention of subscribing. However, if there was a sports only package even i would consider!! Everyone has their preference so why should we have to have the whole lot and no freedom of choice?

Who agrees there should be a Sports only pack, maybe priced 25 quid a month for SSport1,2,3 even with eurosport and skysportnews or similar as bonus channels etc?

How much would a sports only pack really be worth?

What package would you like available? Budget pack 10 quid a month with 6 channels maybe?

Do you agree that this would help Sky reach their target of 10 million subscribers? Would it help with profits? Or do you feel everyone would just cut their subscriptions and sky end up with less income?

Your thoughts please :).

I agree i only watch sports and aint interested in uk gold, living, history or the other shite that make up the sky package. I think a budget 10 channels for a tenner would be a good package

package

m8 i dunno about it,i think you might get the back to 5 channel paranoias its the old sayin that once you lose wat you got you notice the difference, for those that dont have it then theres no prob,id be concerned about when you take the bait whens the anti gonna rise cos if their droppin viewin figures in some areas then it has to be made up somewhere else, all in all im still unsure, just a quick thought.

I'm not really fussed about sports but I can see how its a good idea for Sky to use. At the moment the full Sky subscription is way to expensive. What would be better is if Top Up TV and NTL/Telewest started up a price war. Having said that I sadly doubt it'll happen but I live in hope!
At the moment the only digital channels I watch (E4. More4, BBC3, Sky News) are all available on Freeview so I'm happy with that
