Re: Channels missing/IPTV/CableTV/Boxing/Anything else apart from Satellite

isn't it Tuesday they tend to do changes, so none yesterday and guess difficult to predict when the next batch of channels will go

From the first they implemented the encryption on 28th of march till the second time on the 25th of April it would be difficult to predict.
But for sure there will be more to go.

If I was a betting man I would say.....
12110 H 27500 & 11934 V 27500 would be next.

going by that I can assume they are doing it every 4 weeks so next batch to go will be 23rd May

Why don't they just take the lot out in one hit?

Re: Channels missing/IPTV/CableTV/Boxing/Anything else apart from Satellite

@shabbaranks I think they'll be rolling out in stages at first and clearing any mess up they create and then incorporate the fix in to the next phase of the rollout. They'll keep doing this until they have zero problems they need to fix and when there at that point then goodnight, god bless and blackness for all.

For all who don't have cable or iptv alternative in place

cable or iptv is the in place option
Why stop at one?

fill it up. LOL.

Some might disagree with this but it's not a bad thing "the end is near"
we had a good run at it and it was never going to last forever.
Since this all started with the encryption it lay new goals out for me and service and choice is much better than it was.
The only ones I have thought for is people buying expensive receivers recently.
In most cases if it was expensive receiver it can still be used for other means.

If you have a decent motorised satellite system you'd wonder what the fuss is about, the total number of channels including proper HD channels on satellite absolutely dwarfs what's on 28e & luckily for us, English is very popular (mainly due to Hollywood & the US TV industry) and our football is also very popular & so is most other sports we like. There's somewhere between 100 & 200 film channels, about the same for sports, documentary channels, general entertainment, children's tv, music, adult etc. plus the 100s of feeds every day including 3pms.

And high bit rate SD & (real) full HD at proper bit rates, not the reduced bit rate full hd (not) stuff on IPTV that's 10 minutes behind, not for live- (ip's handy as a back up & for downloads it definitely works, but you wouldn't want to be stuck on it).

only just put motorised dish back up fair to say 28e wont be missed lol

I have had a motorized dish for a long time and my iptv is a few seconds behind and not 10 minutes,You can not get usa content which i like watching via iptv,Also with a motorized dish you can only record on one satellite at a time,Each system has pluses and faults but a good iptv provider or cable is the only option for some with planning restrictions,For those with the smaller dishes then they can be set to 19 e if c/s goes

just checked there now.
10 mins sounds strange mate.

its 17 seconds for me.

17 seconds is horrendous- if you're watching football & you're neighbour has a proper satellite system, you'll hear them shout GOAL!! ...... and 17 seconds later you see who scored.
I've seen how bad that is even at just a few seconds latency, let alone the long delays you can get on IPTV.

It depends how bad it is on your area - ISP, where the IPTV comes from originally, the delays processing it down from decent quality usually off satellite to the low bit rates on the internet.

As said, it's handy for some things & most satellite receivers have IPTV / streaming / downloads anyway

but if you've got a decent motorised satellite system, I can't think of anyone that would use IPTV when you can get it at far better quality on satellite and without the delays.

What are the chances of the majority living next door to neighbours with "proper satellite sytems"?
i know none of my neighbours have, so IPTV suits me fine :)

your just unlucky that you happen to live close to noisey neighbours with good satellite setup's lol

Interested to hear if you have ever spotted cricket or rugby union on your motorized dish and if so which sat. Thanks

Easy solution

Why don't open atv or open vix
Have an option to click on a channel on the enigma 2 boxes that has say for instance sly sports 4 , then gives you an option to link a iptv channel to the original channel that is down, so when you go back to your guide and press on sly sport 4 it points to the iptv linked sly sport 4 channel, then you would have a TV guide that is updated by AutoBouquets every day. Sorted. Easy
