Need some help with NDS cards and which card readers are the best along with what to set the Mhz to

From what I can gather an internal dm800 reader runs at 5v compared to a smargo reader that runs at 3.3v so would it not be wize to use a reader that runs at 5v?

Also within CCcam and oscam what is the max Mhz we can use without damaging the card

Hi i use a normal little phionix smart mouse reader set at if i remember right 6 mhz but im not a 100 % sure of the settings till i get home also it depends on what system you are using

Try using a Omnikey 3121 USB cardreader. If i can remember correctly, mine read the NDS card very quickly and also clocked the reader MHz correctly. It also has automatic voltage selection, so burning out the card was not a issue, it remained cool in the Omnikey reader and it has been said to provide the fastest ECM times......I have all of the cardreaders available, and this one is by far the best one for me.

I'm currently using an Omnikey 3121 and yes your right it does seem better with ECM times compared to a Smargo.

I would say though that I think the smargo must be quite safe as I've used the same card in it for nearly 2 years without any problems on my dm800

I only got the Omnikey as I had trouble to begin with the smargo and ubuntu server but now have both the smargo and Omnikey working fine with ubuntu.

also my 2 bobs worth is the smargo are much more expensive than the Omnicards but they are a more compact device
