Help, required, skybox problem

have an usual problem since thursday last, on every channel I get either technical fault or no service, have unplugged box, waited 5 mins as advised by onscreen msg, then box does rescan, epg fills up as usual but still get same msgs re no signal, tech fault etc...

heres the weird bit, when i go to services>other channels I can watch all chans no probs incl. my premium ones with card insereted.....

so if box can scan and store channels and allow you view them via extra channels, why cant i access them via epg....

any ideas pls..
 
Hi Bod, did you try an ota upgrade, power off from plug at back, hold down backup button on box put power back in, keep button pressed till you see the upgrade begin, worth a try.
 
what box is it? stb sky+ HD

how many feeds to box? check no braid is touching copper core.

have you tried a software update? remove power _ hold back-up on sky box (NOT REMOTE) _ re-apply power whilst still holding back-up _ wait till all lights show on box and on screen says software update.

failing that planner rebuil, or last resort as this will erase all recording, hard drive reset! remove power from box _ hold left and right arrow buttons on box (the ones outside of the select button) keep them pressed in, re-apply power and wait for the circle (where playback shows) to illuminate and then let go of buttons, then press select, the lights will go in reverse and start the re-format.
