Sorry for my lack of technical speak but I'm thinking that I if I could somehow just solder a couple of wires to replicate the connection between the *** box and the card and attach those wires to right connections in a Dreambox card reader, could it in theory be possible for both boxes to see the card as inside their box?

I'm thinking of how to achieve a share from Offial box to multiple dream boxes.

this may have worked with the older cards, but wont with this one, as the dreambox and official box will both be asking the card for a key, if the card is asked for a key older than the last key it sent, which could happen with more than one box connected, the card will shut down

this was one of the new countermeasures of the new white card

Interesting. What about if I left the official box on FTA channels?

It would remove most of the usefulness of what I'm trying to achieve, but would be useful for multiroom cards.

Also, is CCcam therefore programmed never to ask for older keys as this issue seemingly isnt present when multible boxes are reading from a card in a DM?

cccam i dont know m8, but i know newcs has a cache thats adjustable, the clients ask newcs for the key, which it takes from the card, and keeps in cache to send to clients, it only asks the card once, then replaces the oldest key with the new one

You also have specific voltages that are coming from the card readers in the Dreambox as well as the Sky box, feed too much power into the Sky card and you will fry it. You need to build a card reader which will allow you to send the data from the Sky card to each box and allow only one reader to feed the card with power. The problem is there are several points on the card reader that supply power in both receivers. I am sure it is feasible to build a card reader for what you need, but it's not something you can't just knock up. You could try something along the lines of a SmartWi, but as to whether any of them support an NDS card is a different matter. If you do find anything I think a lot of people would be very interested including me.

Regards

Liam

I've put a little bit of research into this in the last day or so and it seems that many well estbalished commerical card splitting products have failed to be able to work NDS, both wired and wireless. Guess it's a no go then for to me to try it with about 20 quid worth of gear from Maplins.

Probably more worth my time getting my head into image creation and creating an image that replicates a lot of the functionality I miss from the official EPG and PVR series link functionality.
