SKY = worst customer service ever!!!

right lets start at the start... i decided to recommend my brother to sky. which i did, and he went through the process and got all his sky+ installed. i took the free sky+ box reward. but when i went to track my reward, it was listed as having opted for the £50 worth of m+s vouchers???? i contacted sky on the 21st of july and after being put from one department to another 2 departments(30 minutes it took, and one person on the end of the phone denied that the free sky+ box offer never existed and i was a liar!!!!) some nice ladt said she would make a note of it on my account and email there customer services????? to get it changed from the vouchers to the free box.... i checked the track reward on the 2nd of august and it said vouchers would be despatched on the 3rd of august, so again after being on the phone to sky for 20+ minutes, i got told that the sending of the vouchers was an automated process? why was this not changed in the 13 days since i rang them last???? so on the 16th of august i still had not received any correspondence or a call from them explaining what was going on??? i decided to mail a complaints letter on the 17th(which on there website say they will respond in 5 days) so leaving it for 9 days i still had not received any correspondence still!!! or any vouchers????? do they send them recorded??? and i take it i am liable for these now??? so rang them up today(on hold for 18 minutes before getting through and was put on hold for 5 minutes more, and was told the same shit again! sorry blah blah blah, i will mail the customer services team again and get them to reply to you within 72 hours.... i asked if they received my letter which was sent by recorded mail, and they said they had not received anything from me!!!!!!!! ive been a customer for 10 years, never defaulted a payment, and get treated like shit!! i hold out no hope of them contacting me... only way i can think is to send another letter.... if i was to cancel my direct debit they would soon be in touch then wouldnt they?????? when they want there money they soon contact you then..... anyone else had this sort of shit from this greedy corporation???? what other alternatives have i got if i cancel my account with them??? we dont have cable in our town. and i would like all the programs like GOLD music channels and sky sports. is there any other alternatives that carry these other than virgin???

sly know they have u by the balls - what alternatives are there? none. i couldn't wait to leave. then they used to ring me weekly, trying to get me to come back.
 
i would 2nd that i just had them lie at me 3 or 4 times in last month i reset up a direct debit so that when i went on holiday viewing wouldnt get cut off, so that my parents would get to view what they wanted

aug 7th setup direct debit and asked if the arrears would carry onto new bill and not cut off viewing answer was yes they can do that and viewing wouldnt be cut off

monday lastweek: viewing cut off dad was told he had to pay 2 months in advance which he did not been told a dd had been set up

Sunday this week i phoned them asking why this had to be paid the person i got didnt know why my dad had to pay 2 months in advance due to the dd set up and said i had nothing to pay until october 3rd

yesterday i got a bill of £40 so i phoned them up again and i got told by customer service that they dont no why i was cut off as they could see on 7th that a dd was set up and they would only ask for 2 months in advance if no direct debits were setup, also got told they would "look into this and get someone to phone back"

so therefore i have been lied at 3 or 4 times in a month
 
i remember well the night i cancelled sly...on hold in total 45 minutes and was talkin to the rudest bastard ever...all but refused to cancel my subs and kept tryin to get me to keep basic....kept puttin me on hold....so i asked him do you record your calls..he said yes sir we do....so i said well so do i...now please do what im askin you.....after that he was very polite but still took me 6 months of phone calls and letters to get what id overpaid just to cancel
my advice if u want to cancel sly is scrap the dd with bank, let them cut you off and pay the arrears....those fu*kin ba*tards
now my little rant is over lol

their customer service is a big laugh i had trouble with the new viewing cards so hadnt got sky for 5 days manager told me id be credited for 5 days but checked yesterday and nothing of the sort had being done had to ring up to get it sorted wont get credit now till next bill and il be checking think they do be laughing at us on the other end so yes they do lie and will keep on getting away with it
