I just bought a skybox from a member of this forum. It is a Thomson DSI4214C. I took it round for my dad as his Grundig has been playing up. I transferred all the cables over to the Thomson and rang Sky to pair the card to the box. Everything is working perfectly downstairs but the telly in my brothers' room has interference on the sky channel. BBC1-CH5 are excellent and these are all fed from the rf2 connector from the Skybox.
Anyone have any idea why Sky is affected and not the other channels? I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem.

May be silly question, but did you retune your channel that you view sky on ,on your tv upstairs. Sounds as though you may just have to retune tv upstairs as you have another box connected now.

Hope this helps.: santahat

you might also find that the RF channel that RF2 is outputting on is interfering with the other signals. You can adjust this in the install or engineers menus.

Is it all channels on the sky box that are affected and then the normal terrestrial is ok or is is it just some sky channels?

Another thing to try is to un-plug the Magic Eye and plug rf2 direct to the tv set just to take that out of the loop. Try that first and then go for a re-tune of the RF2 output channel. YOU WILL NEED TO RE-TUNE THE TV AFTER ADJUSTING THIS.

to change sky box o/p channel press services, 4, 0, 1, select, 4, then change the channel, boxes are factory preset to 68, but may have been changed for some reason, maybe to stop interference before, and as stated you will need to retune tv upstairs m8

Thanks for all replies lads. I guessed it may be an adjustment in the menu as it reminded me of the adjustments we had to make on videos when Channel 5 came out. I will try it later, it may be best for me to hook the old box back up and see what output channel it was set for and then set this one for the same.

Tried as you said Digi but no go, maybe the menu is different on this model. After pressing services option 4 took me into system setup, there I was offered options 1-8, no zero. Couldn't find anything that gave me the option to change or view what channel the rf frequency was set to.
Anyone got a user manual for this model or have a link for Thomson, I was hoping I could download from their site but can't find it.

its a hidden menu m8;)

you press the actual number 0 and 1 buttons then select and you will be taken to the 'installer menu'

youll have to do this on your old box to get the output channel that ones set to as well
