He has been caught well and truly with his hands in the pie. He owns a percentage of Rangers he doesn't own the club. It's probably a tax fiddle. Never the less slave labour was abolished a while ago hence the introduction of a basic pay per hour. This scum has been caught although he does deny having any knowledge of foul play in that department. Yeah right and I am a monkeys Uncle. :(

He owns basically the badge /crest everything that's printed with that on it he makes the lion share while rangers get the scraps . Not that I care about that .my concern is the working practice . We should all boycott USC AND SPORTS DIRECT unroll be gets rid of zero contract .( by the way the staff have to sign exclusivity contract ) the guy is a disgrace

in my days if I was 3 mins late I was docked 15mins pay and I thought that was bad enough :(

Did you not tell your boss it was hard work riding a bike up that hill carrying a hovis @Ratts? ;)

Did I read somewhere that Amazon operate similar employment practices??

Wonder how many other companies operate something similar?

All done under the wonderful watch of the EU, so much for concern for workers rites, My arse.
0 hours contracts should be abolished, and the minimum wage closely monitored. There are two many of these agency work loop holes for employers using the 0 hour contract deals, and scumbags willing to use them. I apologize the term is entrepreneur not scumbag these days.

I refuse to shop in that place . Never will unless he changes his employment practices

A very noble gesture mate, sadly the majority of GB couldn't give a monkeys what the working practices of this utter cock of a man are, if he's the cheapest in town for the latest nike gofaster trainers then that's where they'll go, the fat arrogant cant will get fatter and fatter and hopefully explode one day. :proud:

I agree he is a complete prick but you don't have to work for him

I had the same thing many years ago working for a building sub contractor, if you were over 3 minutes late he would dock you half hour, so if we were late we just used to sit in the canteen drinking coffee for 25 minutes, used to really piss him off, then he tried to say if we didn't go straight to work we would get docked an hour, should of seen he's face when 12 of us told him to feck off and poke he's job up your arse lol

Government was urged to put a stop to zero hours but have so far refused but they do have powers I'm sure I read to do that and this has nothing to do with EU. The EU isn't stopping them.

The EU were the ones that introduced working time directive which I believe helped try and find a balance between home/work life. If I remember correctly, when it was brought in, our beloved government had to exempt a certain profession (for a certain time) so they could recruit more staff (a good thing if you ask me).

The thing is would we have had similar laws if we weren't in EU? I would like to think so but before EU introduced it, our government hadn't done anything and tried to put it off knowing it would cost businesses (themselves included) more money due to extra staff, etc.

For the record, i'm currently undecided on EU as I would like best of both worlds lol.

Anyhow back to Mike Ashley... As I said, I don't think he's alone in how employees are treated now. More and more businesses i've found are heading towards that direction and I think it's wrong

I heard just the other week that bus drivers can be fined if they're early at a bus stop (easily solved by taking time at a bus stop) but also if they're late even though it can be through no fault of their own. Which I can imagine most of time they're late due to diversions and/or traffic.

What is happening to the world lol

Didn't the working time directive have a negative impact on how junior doctors train in the UK?
