Sensible Topic EYE Lazer treatment

I have been to eye hospital today and didn't get good news I implant I had in April has fixed issue I have a build up of fluid behind my middle bit of eye, they are going to try implant again but there not sure it will work. If they can't fix it with this treatment I could lose my central vision on right eye. I got everything crossed:)

Sorry to hear of this m8. I sincerely hope it all goes well for you.

I'm unsure why I wasn't notified of updates on this thread... no doubt it's MickyD's fault as per usual. :)

Update on my procedure...Not once, since I had my eye zapped, have I thought about reaching for my glasses whilst driving or watching TV. I can now buy shades off the rack without thinking of anything other than "Do I look cool in these", or "Dayamn...I'm rocking these bad boys".

I can honestly say that this alongside my (teenybopper, Buckfast inspired) tattoo removal :) ) was one of my best purchases I have ever made.

Just to be clear, the procedure I had was ilasik idesign, whereas Napsters' was an implant.

Please do your own research before opting for eye surgery.

The closest I can describe the pain I felt was that my eyeball had been used as a makeshift Squash ball for a few hours, but after necking a couple of Ibuprofen, it was soon forgotten about.

It was more uncomfortable rather than out & out painful.

Let us know how you get on.

I have had Pan-retinal Photocoagulation (PRP) treatment to both eyes, and a lot of it.
Lasers are used to obliterate small dots of the retina in the hope that the retina will them require less blood and the proliferation of new and incompetent vessels will stop.

Mine hurt and this depends on how high a setting they use to burn away material.
It also worked though and got me a great deal of stability in both eyes.

PRP is not the laser treatment that corrects either short or long sightedness but is used solely to treat a pathology. When I tell people I have had laser surgery they always say so why do you still wear glasses.

back at the eye hospital 3 times this month injection on 24th and then dye test to check bleeding and week later laser again if this don't work god knows what's next, I know its a pain in the arse going backwards and forwards to city hospital.

my right eye its like looking through water all the time permanent blur :(
