Is it just me or does the SNP stance on wanting to stay part of the EU yet wanting Independence from the UK seem strange ?
They apparently want to be Independent yet advocate being ruled by the EU which would have far more reaching consequences than rulings from within the UK where they have a much larger say and input into what happens.
SNP have also said they fully embrace the open borders and want EU migrants, Scotland has been fortunate in that it has seen only a trickle of this migration and so still see it as an opportunity to utilise the man power at lower pay rates. Those SNP politicians should be forced to visit places like Luton, Peterborough, Boston in Lincolnshire, Sheffield, Bradford and many towns in Kent. Then they would realise the affect this huge migration is having on the original residents and how it is changing the whole cultural standing of these areas.

I was speaking to a few mates yesterday after the game about this, they are SNP but are voting OUT, I pointed out to them that their leader thinks they all want to remain in the EU they said she can go and take a flying f***, I then asked them if we vote out and the SNP get another referendum on independence what would they vote then, all of them said they would rather vote for staying in the UK than independence if it meant staying out of the EU, I think sturgeon could be in for a shock at just how strongly her voters feel about the EU. I hope they publish what way regions/country's vote and hopefully put an end to any talk of another referendum if it proves the case we as a majority in Scotland voted out.

@HibbyDave, personally I really hope that what you have said is what will happen as I believe that an EU free united Great Britain will fare much better than how things stand now and should make the politicians realise that there is more to the UK than London !!

London's vote may well be swayed by Bumbling Boris's stance of vote for out !!
Having Boris and Iain Duncan Smith canvassing for the out vote and so voting the same way as them is one of the very few things that I dislike about voting out.

I understand where your coming from mate, but we cant have it both ways, I cant stand the buffoon but he can sway a large number of tory minded people to vote with him, there may be a bit of good news with him going for brexit, the city of london high flyers are pissed off with him wanting out, who knows maybe they'll up sticks and move north, we can but dream.

If there is an out vote there is every likelihood that Scotland will demand a 2nd referendum and this time the result may very well be different. Scotland will vote to break from the UK in order to get back into the EU.

I really hope so mate . Nothing against our English and welsh neighbour I like your company but I don't want to be tied to you and your Tory or ref Tory governments

should there be a 2nd referendum? if that fails to keep Nicola sturgeon happy then what a 3rd 4th or keep going till she gets what she wants ? its like the brexit/stay vote if that goes the wrong way for David Cameron do we keep voting till he gets what he wants? End of the day Scotland wanted to stay in the Uk.

Agree with you.what i was saying is how many times do we vote on a thing? What ever way the vote goes one side will all ways be un happy,i never voted for that tory cnut to be pm but we still ended up with them.

what i am saying is the country is split when a vote is as tight as that shouldn't it be tested again?
very few people up here vote tory either lol

Is the current voting system a true democracy??

@v what happens if you vote again and to leave the uk is 51% would you vote again if it was that close? or leave it as it is and revote in 4 years?

That's true buzzer problem is where I live there are a lot of Tories and red Tories . These people only care for themselves don't really care about anyone else it's the I'm all right brigade that stopped Scotland being independent that and the stupid religious divide we have . The SNP have every right to keep fighting for an independent Scotland as long as it takes if the people keep voting no that's fine but we only need to be lucky once
