I've never bothered trying to reclaim this as I've not had a loan in approx 10-15 years and Im sure I always specified no insurance. In this time period I've had credit cards and always paid them off, however before this period, I was n't as sensible financailly and loans and credit cards with various lenders but can;t remember the detail.

I've heard recently that you can go back 20 years or so with Clydesdale bank who ive been with approx 24 years, so all loans and credit companies ive used should be stored with them. I'd like to know if it's worth looking into and a value for money PPI company to use as I've no time or motivation to do it myself.

Thanks for reading.

No.

Apparently the message is too short so, no, this is usually a complete waste of a huge chunk of your life mate, sorry.

Pat some of these company's do everything for you but at a charge, can you not look up martin money expert and see what he says. i've never needed to do it......owed the company's more than i would have got back

All banks have dedicated teams to do it for their customers - ring them, 5 min phone call, explain why u were mis sold and wait. Couldn't be easier

a couple of years ago me and the otherhalf where discussing trying to claim back our ppi and same day took a call from a cold caller, we decided to let them do all the work. We got about 5k back it total I think after they took there bit. We were happy enough.

i get maybe two or three txts from these guys a day
i keep meaning to block them on the pc but never get round to it (should do it now really ..lol)
is it a scam or do peops actualy get money back
if they do i know there will be a charge but
do they end up with money in the bank they
would never had other wise?

Its not a scam just listen to all the radio adverts, and google it if your not sure. I got a lot of money back and yes I think they took 20% but they handed the money over in days.

Not a scam, but a lot of them are verging on dodgy when they give you the impression that you get all the money. The same with ambulance chaser adverts. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

EDIT: Lol, just noticed post #6 . :)
