your going to have issues playing xlink over system link with a console that is drive flashed only mate the 360 has a ping limit in it to prevent such things going on unless ur playing someone on the same network (no need for xlink kia) or in the same town on the same provider :) i think...

I would use LiNK built into FSD 3 mate instead of XLINK Kai it works from the console no need to run a seperate client from your PC.

you cant use just any HDD and the drive has to be re programed for the 360 to use it, you can get a 250-320 off ebay all ready prepped for the 360 for 30-35 notes in the uk, dont go out and just buy a lappy drive ur self and plug it in it wont work.

there is no easy way if u are not of the correct mind set, having the drive flashed is the cheapest way but the best option if you don't use live but still want the option to play online with others online if you wish is to glitch the console mate, there is no need to burn your backups to disk...
