there is nothing I can do about ram though is there? I have a 64 gb usb stick for sharefile and picons etc set up as usb and a 1 terabyte wd external hard drive set up as hdd using a usb hub to the back of the box both are mounted and set up using the vix4 software

have you tried a different hdmi lead to the tv? sounds like it could of gone faulty if both amps have issue

does anyone else have issues with cross epg on amiko alien 2+ running vix4 2.2 009 when the cross epg is set to auto update? mine crashes every night with it and I have had to set it to manual.

I think personally that vix4 are giving up supporting amiko boxes. you only have to look at their latest version 4 to see that the alien 2+ has been left out when it could easily include the 2+ as many people run open atv on these receivers which is what 4 is based on.
