Installed mine Sunday, works great. Cheap DVDs burnt at 8x and no problem running them at all.

Its alive. Thanks everyone especially melttc. Managed to change the mac over telnet whilst it was scanning, couldnt see what i was typing cos of all the frequencys scrolling up the screen but it changed it anyway. Plugged it into the cable feed and it sorted its self out after a few minutes...

I had same prob, had a 10dB filter in subbed sammy box, took that out and light stopped flashing. Could be something to do with splitter, shouldnt stop talkback though, what type you got? Different ones have different frequency ranges, could make a difference i suppose.

Definitely says nagra serial code and has 8 digit hex number next to it. Do some practical experiments tomorrow and hopefully (fingers crossed) should get a result. Yay. Thanks again.

Ok so now i'm confused, i'm on page 2 of the engineers menu it says nagra serial code and it doesnt end in 12. Looked through all the pages and cant see anything that says IRD.

Cant use that converter m8 part of code is 0B and 5B, converter doesnt seem to take letters. Does the code need converting?

Its a ditv2000 box, i havent got my IRD yet cos i havent opened the box to cut talkback yet. Actually can still plug box in and get to eng menu without hooking up to cable cant i, do that now. Got box off my brother who was living in Leeds, i still live in Leeds so netid should be right shouldnt it?
