the vpn router not connoting light is staying orange took the tp link vpn router to my place plugged into super hub 3 all good

my son on Vodaphone broadband so i took my vpn tp link router round so we can watch the footy but cant get it to work have turned both routers off powered back on but the tp link router light goes orange but stays there will not go blue took tp link back to mine bang working ???
