I've got a Route 66 Mini SatNav device which is running Windows CE 5.0. I'm trying to put TomTom onto but am having trouble with maps as it says there are no maps found.

I've put TomTom Navigator 7.450.9028 onto the sd card and modified the APShell.cfg in the MyFlashDisk\Shell location to load TomTom and this appears to start to load correctly. I've copied over the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland maps onto the root of the sd card and also created the DCT file as instructed but it still doesn't find my maps.

Can someone advise on the latest version of TomTom that I can use on this device and also the latest maps that can be used. Links would be even better !

Advice as to why I cannot locate maps would be very helpfull !

I have tried researching this problem but there is so much information out their, some of which is outdated and with links which are now outdated.

Thanks for your help

Simon

Is there really nobody that has updated one of these devices to TomTom ?

Funny you should ask.....

I've got TomTom running on a RAC Satnav200 (WinCE 5.0) which origically had Route66 software installed.

I'll attach everything you need here. It's the full kit which includes TomTom 7.910.9185, Map Pack UK/ROI v830.230, Idiot Proof KeyGen and full instructions in PDF format.

Happy to help mate. :)

BTW, I prefer the iGo8 software, that will install just as easy on your WinCE device.

I don't seem to be able to get a gps lock at the moment, selected Other NMEA device, baud 4800 and com 3 seems to be the only port that doesn't report NO GPS device but cannot get a lock yet. Hopefully it will sort it self out if I leave it outside long enough.

Do you have any links for the iGo8 software !?

Thanks
Simon

I get a satellite lock if I chose either Internal GPS or Other NMEA, the external ariel is far better than the built in shitty thing.

My settings are 19200 baud and COM7.

I have an iGo8 package here, I'll attach it.

(I've not installed this particular version of iGo8, it is newer than the one I used to have).

Here we go, 10 parts to this one....
