TomTom SD Card

Hi,

I have a tomtom Go 500. My father in law has just purchased a tomtom one europe. Can I copy the Maps Folder (Western_Europe) from the tomtom one SD card onto mine, so I have the latest maps, or is it not as easy as that?

make a backup of yours then try it, should be ok as there are maps you can download here!

I managed to do it on my TTone GB with the maps from at TT Go 510.

Just copied & pasted to my desktop and then copied to a new flash card. Worked like a treat

u might need to get a bigger sd card for the maps to go on mate

I thought u'd need an activation key for the map to be copied onto another device?

I Trie It On My Tomtom 300 Copied My Mates 510 Files But It Did'nt Work For Me

I am trying to upgrade my go 300 maps as well.
I have made a backup copy of my sd card.
The new maps include ROI but they dont fit.
I have tried deleting some other files to make room but no luck so far.
I am getting a message no maps found.
Anyone any ideas?
PS the map folder has a different name than the original.

try getting a bigger card then doing it not sure abt the files the only thing i know is tomtom needs all the files i managed to put the major maps of europe on my dads and just went it and changed maps he said it worked fine in spain

mate my dad got a 2 gig sd card from for 20 notes looks good for the size and its high speed

Tried to get a 2 gig card but they were sold out.
I think a 1 gig should do though.
Heres hoping............

it all depends on what u want to put on your tomtom i tryed to put a few maps on it and it ran out of space

or ebuyer - around the same price for a 133x

plus delivery - 7day's is about 3.95 but it doesn't matter how many you order.
