Thanks m8 Does anybody consider Africa as part of the wrold anymore? lol. I will be going to south africa over the summer months and i would like to know if anybody knows where i can find maps that will be compatible with Route 66 Navigator.

How often do these maps get updated to reflect new roads/roundabouts etc? I'm running tomtom 6 on a Nokia N73. I followed all the instructions in one of the posts in order to get set up so that was brilliant but I don't know a great deal about it so could someone tell me if the GB maps change often, and if they do is it a simple case of downloading the update, and deleting the old map of the memory card?

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I've tried looking and searching doesn't help me as I don't really know what it is i'm looking for!!

Yes it is a case of replacing the old maps with new ones. The latest GB map for TT6 that I know about is version 6.75 (1409).
I think the only way to know about the new releases of Maps or TT softwares is by joining tomtom news group.

TomTom 6 Maps v. 675.1409 for ALL Systems
Pocket PC / Palm / Symbian / TT One / TT Go

Be ware these maps will NOT work on TT 5.

Each map has its own specific crack included. How to do this:

1. Extract the rar file to your HD while maintaining the included folder structure.
2. Copy the complete folder to the root of your device Memory Card (you can exclude the exe file if you wish)
3. In case you don't have your TT device ID code, then start TT6 and select the map you have just copied.
4. The map will give you the device ID and will ask you to enter the map's registration code.
5. On your PC, double click the exe file included in the maps foder and enter your Device ID.
6. The crack file will give you 3 serials for the different systems, choose what you need and close.
