So I was wondering what is going to happen to the tm twin now the the new cheaper t2twin is on its way out, do these both have the same chip sets so that a image for one can work on the other, or does that mean the end of developement for the tm-twin. Does the latest image now fix all issues (cannot test mines unavailable at present). Is the so called vix image every going to be released. I think these a crucial times for tm, they need to get it right.

The bottom line is "don't buy any receiver unless you know that it does what it is supposed to do/what you want it to do".

Of late, TM receivers don't fall into this category. They won't/can't even release a channel editor for the 5302.

the twin image will work on the 2T, it just needs renaming prior to flashing, personally, i think a ViX image will never get released, as why would people buy a duo, when a twin or 2T will do EXACTLY the same, for less (apart from the track record of their linux experience of course ;)). hopefully, ill be proved wrong on this, and a ViX image will get released.

the channel lists for the 5302, if i remember rightly, are of the satcodx flavour, for which editors exist

Releasing another receiver? So that's now 2 receivers released that do not function properly and do not have a decent team writing images for them and tm are going to add a third?? FOOK ME! Is it going to be the same team working on the core drivers?

Seriously this is like ford releasing a car with mechanical faults that don't work and never get fixed so they just release a new model and keep telling the owners of previous models that a fix will be coming eventualy. HAHA can you imagine.

I think even the most mentally challenged person can see a pattern emerging here... Cut your losses and sell whatever TM Linux recievers you have and buy something that does what you want it to and has a track record of good software support.

We have all seen Dr Linux's previous posts on this forum claiming that 98% of recievers are sold to pre-configured box traders and 2% to hobbyists.. bottom line is they dont care about the 2%..which is why you probably saw so much concentration from UR Team on "trader friendly" features such as hidden Softcam configs, passworded locked down settings, URSR trader specific images etc etc...
It's all about box sales and revenue, software support and functionality doesnt seem to come into it. Theres a list of bugs going back to the TM500/600 that to date havent been fixed, before you even mention the TM800 fiasco, the latest TM TWIN etc is just a continuation of the same...

This is absolutely mad. My day job is a computer engineer and I wouldn’t send anything back to a client as long it is working 100% for use. These Technomate receivers are working on about a average of 70% depending on which receiver which I do not like to name and they are still managing to create new receivers and make people pay hundreds of pounds for these wasting there good earned money (Me to be named as one). In the space of 2/3 years now Technomate have created the TM800Hd which wasn’t competed, then the TM Twin again not completed and now the TM T2 Twin. How on earth can they still trade selling receivers that are not complete for sale. Something needs to be done so they cannot trade receivers that are not 100% complete.

What I find strange is that Technomate have created now 3 linux receivers 1 single tuner and 2 twin tuners which are not completed and VU have created less and work perfectly. Comparing Technomate receivers on the market against the same kind of receivers why on earth do we buy them as there is much better receivers out there. My mistake was purchasing a twin receiver for it RF modulator (last time this will happen now forget the RF im now looking at a VU+ Ultimo)
