Channel / Bouquet Editor

When I setup my box I scanned all the sats for channels.

Since then I have loaded some channel lists / pre-configured boouquets from other users.

The problem is that I now have loads of duplicate channels (about 10 each of c4 and c4+1 for example.

What is the best program to edit the bouquets and delete duplicate channels?

Google "dreamboxedit" mate - it's free, but if u are using a TM600 I can recommend version 2 of the software and not the latest version 3, as that seems to have some issues when transferring bouquets etc to the box.

Already using that. just not impressed with the editing capabilities

I'm not impressed with it either really, for example I want to put BBC1 as channel number 101 but no idea how to do it... Don't even know if it's possible?

youd need another 100 blank channels before bbc1 i think m8

if its only to get rid of a few duplicate channels, highlight the channel, press menu, highlight delete and press ok, all on the remote

I'm talking about identifying and deleteing a few hundred or maybe thousand dulpicates.

This isn't as simple as it seems cos the box issues them unique sids, hence they don't appear dulicate

are you willing to delete everything and then do a rescan to see what it give you?

Rescan then go to > tools > Compare loaded services with dreambox.

then you can chose to remove/update the duplicate/missing channels etc.

p.s
sending channels over the top of old ones won't create duplicates they get wiped every time you send a channel list.

I did contemplate just scanning the sats I watch or even just deleting all of the channels I have no interest in as this would make it much easier to manage.

I have a full vm package so the only channels I really want are the footy channels for matches not on sly/vm.

I thought that uploading a new channel list over wrote the old one but thats not the case in Dreamedit.

I did a scan, when I fired up dreamedit it insisted on loading from the box. I then opened a saved channel list and it added then together. I then wrote the lot back to the tm.

opening two sets of lists in dbedit won't join then...?

only if you used / Tools > Compare / or Import > User Bouquet Files.
