I want to view my TM on my work PC, So I have set a no-ip.biz DNS, assigned port range 79-81, and also turned of DHCP in the TM, but when I enter my DNS i get Internet explorer can not display etc etc, where have I went wrong, also need to know for card sharing

you need to forward the correct port eg http is port 80 /FTP port21 etc.. to point to your reciever. Some routers can forward from the hostname so it can always be found on your network even when you have dhcp issuing ip addresses.

I presume its just port 80 you need?

What router do you have?

Si

Hi,

I have a Speedtouch 576, or a BT Home Hub, both use same software so are essentially the same thing.

Its this screen here, http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Thomson what do I put in them fields?

are you trying to access your receiver by typing your dns address from within your home network?

if so, this normally fails as it confuses the router and shows the router login page instead of forwarding the port as it recognises its internal traffic and gets stuck in a loop

try fronm your phone and you should see it working ;)

Got it sorted, there was a dydns section in the router that needed activated. Just one more question, how do I changed the TM default password?
