and then i find out when i google it, the issue is a separation issue, so now my dogs sleep in my bedroom. so no problem other than the pitter patter all night as they move from room to room

Yep dog would have to go, my friend got a dog about 4 months old. After 10 months he got rid, it was basically like having a giant termite. It chewed everything to bits from table legs to phones.
He got rid and later another m8 said this guy had got a dog from the local rescue not long back and he had to take it back because he chewed him out of home. I'd like bet its the same dog.
Just get shut that's unless you can afford to get some help with a animal behaviour specialist or you can afford a new couch every few weeks

My sisters dog ate the Yodel delivery guys shorts & jacket yesterday lol

My fellas does the same but only does it if im gone for more than 4 or 5 hours. I got him a good chew toy and he hasnt done it in a while.

i suggest you get your fella a good toy too.

this is the one i got my fella. he loves the thing.

I'd a dog like this many years ago.

Every time we went out it chewed somat and occasionally during the night because it couldn't get to us.

I moved its bed to the garage with loads of chew toys and when we went out and at bed time in there it went.

Did that for 6 months through the spring summer. Come winter we let it back in the house, it slept in the kitchen at night. Never every chewed a single thing again and back then gained the run of the house as our trust in it grew.

Cracking dog in the end and a much missed family pet.

Getting rid of your dog is not the solution it's bored. Teach it?. I could never do without my dogs they are part of my life. Read and think before buying a pet put the work in and they will indeed reward you. :)5 steps to correct inappropriate dog chewing | Cesar's Way

Just get a phone, record yourself saying a command, and put it on loop with a speaker so the dog thinks you're home somewhere.
