Bailiffs

I do think you need to be different from others to carry out bailiff work.
Yes someone has to do it.
(I wouldn't)

i give example of these kind of people.
They do look for that bit of power they can not get anywhere else.
I took a break from "welding" for a year and went into warehousing.
My manager was retired army man.
He thought he could treat people how he wanted. The workers got together and manager was given a nice amount of money to leave.
The next job he got issuing parking tickets.

This is the the kind of people bailiffs are.
They look for jobs with power and no respect for people below them.
As you say @IANB someone gotta do it.
But not a job I would enjoy.

Thank god we really don't have them here.
(Belfast)
Mate you would need to be psychopathic or have a death wish to try that in belfast lol

Somebody (unfortunately has to do it) people don't have to watch it. And if You like it, I think You should question why.
Funny We don't see many programs about Banker's going into billions of debt to the tax payer, being followed with a camera (SAD)

Brilliant post mate . Poor working class or unemployed people have became the jokes of society . A friend of mine local politician said to me the best con the media have ever done was to have the slightly better of working class look down on the lower working class and the unemployed for the problem when they should be looking above them for the problem

I have to agree, manipulation, and avoidance or distraction of the idiots who created the problems of today has become more and more aggressive on the poor since 2007.

I don't know what channel trots out this sh*te but always keep in mind that the mainstream TV channels are just as guilty of the manipulation @sneaker mentions. These "reality" TV shows are nothing of the sort- it's just fodder to keep the masses watching. And that stuff they call the news is even worse! They show what they are told to show with a tiny amount of controversy thrown in now and again to keep it convincing.
TV? I'd give mine away to someone I don't like if the o/h would let me lol!

ok look at it this way..........

1. you lend me 50k
2. i don't pay you back as agreed and i'm very good at avoiding you. (you can not kill me or beet the shit out of me as this will only get you jailed and you will still be 50k down)
3. you take me to court and get a judgment against me, i still don't pay
4. you send the bailiffs after me, i successful avoid them (the font have many powers these days)
5. you upgrade to the high court / sheriffs and the take my car / tv /computers and cash and return your 50k to you

6. Are you happy????????

if any one still says the would not do the above PM me you name address phone number, and can i borrow 50k and just so you know i know a lot of undesirable people who will look after me :p

don't get me wrong i don't agree with the way they do there job, but you can not blame them for doing it......
**my last post here**

classic tell it as it is

There is somewhat of a 50/50 split, you have the hard face b*stards that willingly swindle from companies / landlords etc then you get the hardworking general populous some of whom fall into the hole of debt not by their own choice.

Get what your saying about lending 50k 100% but look at it from the humanitarian point of view and the fact that some landlords use the legal system to their own advantage at the expense of honest people (That is a fact). These people employ known aggressive agencies to bully and exploit vulnerable people I think that is what @countryboy is saying and I agree 100% with him in that respect, the people who work on the fringe of what is legal and push the boundaries are scum and if I took a call off my mam saying she was being bullied by one I'm sorry but I would simply go over and rip their fkin throats out, I may be well educated but I am and always have been someone that well, you dont fk with, call it a family trait ;)

On the other hand you have bailiffs who like everyone else are doing a job to put food on the table for their families, carried out ethically and properly in accordance with the law to recover monies and property from people who think they can take what ever they want from whomever they want regardless of how much or little they have. In these circumstances it is a necessity as if there were no occupations such as bailiffs and recoveries then people would be ripping each other off left right and centre.

To summerize:

Bad Bailiffs - agressors who operate on the fringe of the law and push the boundaries, ususaly employed by scrupulous urchins who exploit vulnerable people.

Good Bailiffs - The working man providing for his family operating within the guidelines of the law, still not a nice job but one that must be carried out to ensure commerce and industry dont get fleeced. :)

I will put it this way, if your mum or a member of your family who you love more than anything called you up saying there is some man trying to take away something that is cherished by them, possibly passed down from one generation to the next in order to recoup a couple of quid would what your reaction be?

two sides of every coin gentlemen :)
