This should make you smile lol

A friend of mine needed her charger port fixed. So i have a quick Google/ Youtube and the port/tools etc only £5.

The video takes 5 mins and looks reasonably doable.

Now, my eyesight isn't what it was (need glasses), anyway

Goes through all the motions, very fidly (screws the size of a fcking pinhead)

After about an hour of headwork, i finally get it in and charging.

Goes to press the screen back into place and turns it over, and to my horror, the screens all cracked up. lol

(So anyone attempting a similar job, be very careful of the fragility of the screen)

Check your glasses for cracks first before you go into panic mode Rodney and buy a new screen. Lol

Been there mate. I dropped my favourite ever phone (Nokia N8) in the drink. Got it home, dismantled it all to thoroughly dry it out, once I'd finally pieced it all together again & powered up, I'd somehow managed to crack the display. I got a replacement display, but somehow it was never quite the same. RIP N8 :(
