Guys,

be be aware of this if selling on Fleabay.
ALWAYS check returns not accepted.
sold an Apple TV 2 for £90.
buyer had it for 2 weeks and then decided to return it quoting " no longer needed and not as good as his fire TV he has just bought"
paypal put my £90 quid on hold and he gets to keep item regardless. Absolute joke and fe kin raging to say the least. Contact Fleabay and they just quote should have checked no returns. Let's face it they think they are a online store. What fe kin store lets you return something if you no longer need it. Not faulty. I even provided after sale support to get him up and running. Feel like naming this no mark.
anyway rant over all beware always check returns not accepted.

why does he get to keep it?
shouldn't he have to return item and pay postage?

These two statements contradict one another. Could you maybe try and clarify? It's a bit confusing.

Bottom line though, don't use Ebay unless you're prepared to study the terms and conditions, and no, they're not an online store

EDIT:

Precisely. Which is why the original post is confusing, or the poster is confused.

No no bottom line is I sold an item in good faith and this NO MARK has conned me because I never checked no returns, END OFF its that simple. And when I co to the returns item request on my Fleabay it states 2 things. 1: offer full refund. 2: offer partial refund. It then quotes "regardless buyer keeps item" Please explain what is contradictory about that.

Look ok only tried to warn others. No I am not confused buzzer. But after a comment like that will be the last time I post. Great forum

OK, I realise that you're upset, but if you didn't tick "no returns", the buyer has NOT conned you.

Moving on. I've been using Ebay since the year dot, and your post still confuses me. If a buyer decides they don't want an item, the money is frozen and isn't released back to the buyer until there is proof that it's been returned to the seller. Unlike the "goods not as described" situation, the buyer pays the return postal charges.

Thats correct you will have to have the item returned before you refund, but saying that i bought an item that was used, i complained and opened a case but i got refunded and didnt have to send item back, but i think your right to be annoyed as its not very fair on the seller, as said above always mark returns not accepted in future

i never said you were confused..

now i am confused lol

That's a "goods not as described" case. Different situation entirely.

Buzzer, yes been using EBay from day dot as well, just absolutely ragin, this guy has circumvented the system. The only options I was offered from them when I opened the return claim was full refund, or partial refund and it defo said seller keeps item regardless. Anyway now closed you live and lean I suppose

i would be raging also..

doesn't sound fair to me...

Offer him £1 for refund, be as awkward as possible dont just roll over if you think your right fight it

OK, here goes. If the buyer gets to keep the item "regardless". Who in their right mind would offer a full refund, if they had the option to offer a partial refund?

Sorry if I'm still chewing at the bone here, but it's still not making any sense.

id name and shame, maybe even arrange for a member, if close by, to go and collect the tv from them

I only use ebay for items below £20, I use amazon now to buy and sell.

The last item i sold, was a Blackberry Z10 i rebuilt. The buyer paid using checkout and i sent the item. Then i got an email saying the money was on hold for money laundering and security checks.

I didn't have to do anything to get the money but wait 90 days.. The seller contacted me to say how great the phone was, he left good feedback straight away! Yet my money was on hold??

I phoned ebay scum up and they said there is nothing i can do about it but just wait 90 days..

Ebay and Paypal are fraudsters.
