...euro zone troubles "starting to cast a shadow" over the United States, according to Obama.

Well, don't forget who pushed the button pal.

As I recall, Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae were the US banks given Government sponsorship and a monopoly on the sub-prime mortgage market. It infuriated Wall Street that they were excluded from the money-making loop so they invented some sneaky little financial instrument, a security, riding on the back of the sub-prime asset. Problem is, sub-prime assets (houses) have little value in themselves as the owners build up equity slowly. Ergo when they get pushed for cash they just hand the keys back. No matter, you let Wall Street (not known for its adherence to law or morality) sell the securities they had created from nothing, and were worthless, to US!

Obama said gas (petrol) prices were "hitting peoples' wallets pretty hard" despite falling from recent peaks...

Funny that, the cheapest petrol in the World and you're moaning. Oh, then there's the 'wash traders' like JP Morgan, recently fined for the practice. Not that $30,000 is a fine for a company that paid it's employee bonus of $29billion. More like a bribe to shut the regulator up. What's 'wash trading'? Artificially manipulating the price of something for gain. JP Morgan did it on 10 seperate occasions with oil, pushing the price up by $20 a barrel at one point. Some reckon the price of oil has more to do with commodities traders than anything else.

So Mr Obama, buddy, you're getting some of the sh*te back...

...my heart fooking bleeds, not!

Then there's the US economy, not exactly rocket science, when the population goes up available jobs don't go up by an equivalent amount. If you outsource manufacturing to China with its cheap labour (read slave) and then buy what they produce it should be no surprise that China gets richer and the rest of us get poorer.

Well Mr Obama, that doesn't matter too much in the US does it? A place where democracy isn't going to break out any time soon. No, the rich occupy Congress so they can continue to get richer and the poor get shafted.

Not that I'd give a sh*t really, except that it seems to be spreading...

...to here.

couldn't agree more mate, effin' yanks always the same... think the sun shines out of their asses whilst the rest of the world are just a bunch of hoot toots!
