am i a grummpy old git or do others feel the same a me

All the supermarkets and retail outlets have xmas stuff from August and the ****ing musak from November.

i had to do some IT work in a retail place during october and november as part of a 2 stage refit, it was middle of november when the musak came on when i groaned the manager happened to be behind me and quick as a flashed asked what the problem was when i said xmas is 6 weeks away why have you got that shite on.

I was told it was to get the customers in the festive spirit.


Anyway today i nipped into Morrisons to get a fresh loaf and i couldn't believe it F***ING hot cross buns Easter isnt until the second weekend of APRIL that is 3 months away............ if they want to sell the buns why not call them spiced or current buns.

I am not very religious but aren't spiced buns / hot cross buns supposed to be eaten on Easter Sunday when lent has finished, not wolfing them down in January.

I am sure somebody will tell me their local shop has pumpkins ready for Halloween and fireworks for bonfire night.

They had eggs in Harrods the other day, right next to the bloody champers and caviar, couldn't believe it!

I hate it and try my best to ignore all the stuff before the actual time.

I heard Tesco took down decorations on Christmas Eve because they had Easter Eggs in store. :err:

It's weird. I am absolutely sick at the sight and thought of chocolate at the moment. I don't eat much anyway but seem to have really gone overboard this Xmas... however, having just seen the words "Easter Egg", I could wolf one down and it's not even 09:00! : shocked2

They had Yule logs in Asda with a Use By date of mid December. Bah Humbug, I say, lol.

i was in a big tescos on xmas eve (it was hell) and they were taking down the xmas decorations, and yep, its full of easter stuff

@ work the woman are collecting for xmas hampers for the end of the year....Just want to shoot them in the face with an arrow.!
