Currently have scaffolding up at the front of my house for the council to do some work, been there for 4 weeks now with no sign of any work being done. Two nights ago about 8.45pm heard some banging, my 13 year old daughter came flying down the stairs to tell me that there are kids on the scaffolding looking in her bedroom window. So open the front door tell em all to bugger off, must have been at least 10. The one cheeky little T$@T started walking towards me, calling me all the names under the sun. A lady was walking on the opposite side of the street with her little girl, she tells them to mind there language and gets a mouthful of abuse as well. So I shut the door and dial 999, police turn up about 10 mins later, he starts to take my details as a car comes full pelt down my road he says he will be right back and goes off after the car. Two other police then turn up about 20 mins after that, take my details and tell me they will get a community police officer to call round!
My daughter new the names of the ones on the scaffolding, as they are her age and in her school so I give them the list.
Phone the council the following day to tell them to sort this scaffolding out and i get "sorry nothing we can do, builder will be out as soon as the weather picks up"!
Following night approx same time I can hear them all out there again, this time I can hear them throwing stuff at the front door. So I don't go out there, I just pick up the phone dial 999 to be met with "this is not an emergency, did they not inform you when they came round that its a non emergency and that you should ring 101??" never have I heard of calling police on 101! besides the fact that a group of kids throwing bricks at the front of my house is not an emergency? He tells me that police will call within the hour and hangs up on me N**! Well they come tell them my tale, she asks if I would recognise any of them again, I tell her no cos tonight they all had hoodys on - Clever hey?
So guess what last night approx the same time, can hear them all out there again, not on the scaffolding this time but out the front. Hear a couple of stones hit the front door and they ring the bell, I ignore it as I kinda feel i'm wasting police time. Once they all cleared off opened the front door to have a scout around and check the car. Well the delightful little Bas%$*ds had urinated up my front door - pleasent aroma I can tell you, car had all its windows and seemed ok. However this morning Get in the car to go shopping and am met with Superglue all down the side of the drivers door where the little Shi*s had tryed unsucessfully to glue the car handle shut. So I phone the magic non emergency 101 number - which does work by the way, get through to my local station explain it all, she puts it through as a priority and tells me someone will be here within the hour - more than 2 hours ago LOL.
What really makes me annoyed about this whole situation is the fact that I live in a semi, and the D*%k next to me is a convicted paedo! His house has no windows because the kids have smashed them all, they are all boarded up. Having a house in the state its in in the street always attracts the kids. However when he was sent down a couple of years back, the police knocked on my door and told me that his house was flagged and if there was any trouble to dial 999 straight away. So what now he is out of jail and back living there he is less of a risk?? the house isn't flagged anymore?
