if you can take a picture and show them proof that it is obscured i suppose you have a chance of getting off...

what speed were u doing? if it was over 40, then u will still be done.

if u doing 40 - 45 then yeh take a photo and send it to the courts / council

i know speed cameras have to be visible from a certain distance as well

Even if the Actual speed limit sign is obscured, there will always be repeaters, smaller signs along the road and not that far apart, so they would probably argue even if you miseed the actuall sign, you should have seen a repeater and corrected speed.

30 signs aint repeated, you get one upon entry to a 30 zone, and both sides fo road have to be visable from a minimum distance

if you was doing 46+ then you got no chance really,

but under this you can argue that if sign was on left obscured, you was overtaking a cyclist so you didnt see sign on the right thast limit was changing, if sign on right was obscured, you was overtaking a cyclist and was watching him, and didnt see the hidden sign on the right type of thing

was shot at 35 mph took photos the sign is not repeated .the obscured sign is on the left the right hand sign is often obscured by traffic waiting at junction.these speed people are parasites .

Fecking cyclists !

You should be in with a good chance as your case is quite strong.

Apparently the phrase you need to quote is 'to erect and maintain' as this is the legal requirement.

So it is not just a case of putting up the signs they also have to ensure they are always clearly visible.
