My sons PS4 has gone belly up after 13 months and on sony's website they want £125 to repair it as it is out of warranty. Is there a contact phone number for sony that I can call them on as I think this is a liberty. They dont seem to have one on the website

Do they have a facebook page. If so get complaining on that

I'm not on Facebook fella. Wouldn't even know how to find if they have got one lol

just use facebook search. Get a friend who has facebook to do it for you. Big companies don't like negative stuff on their facebook pages

Correct. The first thing to do is contact the retailer, this is your proof of purchase for Sony. If Amazon won't/can't help they should give you contact details for Sony and a communication trail is established.
Contacting Sony first probably won't get you anywhere, no proof of ownership etc;

2 year warranty as it's electronics [emoji1362]

Some places may try and tell you that you needed to register the product to be eligible for the extra year but it's tosh.

Mobile phones is also a funny one. Legally as you're in a contract, your provider is required by law to warranty the handset for the period of the contract [emoji1360]
