ps3 audio

Hi guys, got a ps3 for christmas. Does anyone know if it's possible to connect the optical audio out on the ps3 to the sound card on my computer (sound blaster audigy 4) to get the 7.1 surround sound when watching bluray. At the moment I have to listen through hdmi and tv speakers. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

well, does your PC have an optical audio in? If it does then there is a strong chance you will be able to get audio this way.

Yeah and if not just plug it into your sound card anyway in analogue mode via a phono to 3.5mm converter as it still sounds head and shoulders better than tv speakers whether that's set to HDMI or not.
