What's the best PS3 Mod ? Multiman? or Rogero etc. ps3

Guys,

I have PS3 here and it's got 3.55 on it, what would you say would be the best loader for it, I am familiar with multi man, and the files and making it work etc. But have another console here and it has it just come back from the dead, it's 3.55 So I'm taking my time with it just to be sure, I take it it's got multiman loaded as I can see "install package files" etc.

So should I revert back to OFW PS3_355_FW_UPDATE, and then choose the loader I want!

I've been looking and there's a few at the minute.

Backup Managers (backups manager only work with Waninkoko CFW updated from Geohots CFW)​

• multiMAN
• Open Manager 2.1
• Rogero BM Manager v7.8
• Simple AVCHD Manager

So with multiman I have


PS3_355_KMEAW_CFW
multiMAN_ver_1.16.11_BASE__20110322_170000 ( I would presume there's another new one this is just what I have on this rig)
BDEMU

What you guys think? stick with what I know, I'm looking to put this one in the bedroom so I can use it on the TV in there, BBCi Player etc.

multiman is by far the best and yours is waaaay outdated, I sugest you grab the latest from here

Should I revert back to OFW 1st, as just put a new HDD in it and really I can only presume that it's mulit man that's installed on it?

Install package file.

I could just put Multiman on but I'm not sure it had it on it could be some other "manager" and I don't want to mess with it if say multi man went over the top of it and corrupted it etc..or does it not matter at all?

yeah thanks man, I done that on the other machine when I updated multi man(haven't even sat down in front of it yet) So just put multi man back on this machine, As I say I'm not sure which "manager" is or has been installed on this one.

don't think it matters as when i was trying games had rogero and multiman on at same time just stuck with multiman

Yeah deffo use multiman its great, far more feature packed than any other launcher also you can have several launchers installed with seemingly no problems, in the early days I used to use multi and rogero as both launched certain games better but nowadays multiman wins hands down for me

As for changing hdd's cfw will format a new hdd perfectly well as I've done it myself

OK guys, If I remember then the package file that I need has a "WT" at the end of it

multiMAN packages are provided in two different versions:

multiMAN ver 2.00.00 FULL (20110507_200000) WT.pkg : The WT package is a signed version of multiMAN and is the one you need if you are on Wutangrza or GeoHot custom firmware 3.55.

multiMAN ver 2.00.00 FULL (20110507_200000).pkg : This package is for PS3 firmware 3.4x with Dongle, and for Waninkoko v1, v2, Kmeaw custom firmware 3.55, or any firmware not requiring a signed installation package.

So when I downloaded the package I can't see a WT version, just a PKG version, So I thought I'd just stick the old one back on, and then update that way, I have and downloaded the update and multi man is telling me to update it which I'm trying too, When I try and install the new multiman 02.09.02.pkg it's just failing with an error code.

EDIT: OK sorted. Downloaded and installed it via the USB and it's on the latest CFW.
