i had same issue when i tried lol if you get any luck give me a shout! lol

Just tell them that you do have a receipt m8 they will tell you that you need a receipt but u will never have to show it to them! Trust me!

They said I have to fax them a copy of a reciept to prove it before they would swap

told me the same thing guess its due to them being older, i.e if it was a slim they wouldnt bother?

Yeah if it was slim it would be ok but cause they don't make the fat ones they need a reciept even tho I no of shops that have been still selling them

If you were sneaky you could go into say tesco ect and not down the serial of a slim and then call up and tell them it's faulty. Then when driver comes out he will hand you a brand new slim and you hand him your old one.
Not that I would ever do or condone such actions as they are surely illegal but I have "heard" that such things have been know to work before.:Fish::Fish:

That's true m8 and it does work, as there was a guy on eBay doing this and my m8 bought from him, he exchanged a fat 60gb for a 250gb slim model

i could get a slim serial of my sisters but they courier check the serial and no doubt they would prob ban my sisters serial all i need is a photo copy of a 80gb reciept with in the last year

Couriers do not check serial number to my knowledge, change a few digits in the first set of numbers of the serial number m8, nothing to lose and they don't keep track of the serial number that u give them anyway!

should tell them it was a gift... and as such you do not have the receipt. You have asked the person who bought it and they paid cash, with other stuff... and do not have the receipt either.... as did not think it was needed.

:)

Worked a few times for me before
